The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN), dignitaries and community guests celebrated the success and contributions of existing primary companies in the Greater Reno-Sparks area at the 8th Annual Existing Industry Awards Event held at the Grand Sierra Resort on October 19th. Full Tilt Logistics was fortunate to win their second prestigious EDAWN award. Last year’s award was for Corporate Citizen while this year the Employees First award went to Full Tilt.
“The existing primary companies in Northern Nevada make up the backbone of our regional economy. They are responsible for approximately 50% of our jobs. This event provides an opportunity for the community to thank these companies and let them know we truly appreciate their investment, commitment to the region, and their many contributions to our economic vitality,” said Mike Kazmierski, President and CEO of EDAWN. Employees First Criteria: Recognizes companies that have invested in innovative programs to retain, develop, encourage and reward existing employees. This category is also open to companies that have implemented special programs that support the hiring of members of the National Guard, Reserve or Veterans.
