Whew……what a few weeks it has been at Full Tilt Logistics! Besides working nonstop to service our ever-increasing customer base, several of our staff participated again in local fundraising events.
Our company culture encourages family time and a healthy active lifestyle.
These recent events accomplish both. We believe that staying physically active and giving back to the community benefits all. Many of our employees are ex-athletes, so the competitive spirit is alive and well at Full Tilt. Interested in joining our team? Check out our current openings!
Full Tilt at the Multiple Sclerosis Walk
The first event was the MS Walk benefitting the Multiple Sclerosis Society. This event has been ongoing since 1988 and has raised more than $920 million to drive groundbreaking research, provide life-changing programs and show community support for those who need it most. The Full Tilt team of employees personally contributed to the cause and solicited donations from customers, vendors, friends, and family for this worthy event. We were happy to raise such a significant amount and contribute to this wonderful cause.
Moms on The Run
Next up was the 17th annual Moms on The Run 10K and 5K event held every Mother’s Day along the beautiful Truckee River in downtown Reno. This all-volunteer event contributes 98% of the funds raised to local breast cancer patients undergoing treatment in the Reno community. Again, members of the Full Tilt team participated with friends and family to support this great cause. Several employees are avid runners and improved their times from last year’s event.
Reno Tahoe Odyssey
The grueling Reno Tahoe Odyssey (RTO) is next on the schedule for the Full Tilt team. Only our most competitive runners will be participating due to the demanding requirements. The RTO is a relay from Reno to Lake Tahoe and back to Reno making a large 178-mile loop around the spectacular route showcasing the beautiful Reno-Tahoe region. Our competing runners will all be running three legs of the race averaging 15 miles each. The same dedication and drive to compete in this event are what we bring to the table to ensure our customers receive the highest level of customer service available.
Urban Roots Farm Camp
On a more serene note, Full Tilt Logistics stepped up to sponsor a school garden and Urban Roots Farm Camp for local youth. Urban Roots is a local organization founded on supporting school gardens. The Garden Classroom Program helps schools create gardens that serve as outdoor classrooms. Teacher training, classroom lessons and field trips with hands-on learning. Urban Roots has introduced thousands of children across Washoe County to the joys of leafy greens while also incorporating science, math, and art in the garden. The Farm Camp for kids provides an immersive experience to get in the flow of fun, friends, and farming while learning about everything from chickens and seed balls to permaculture and compost. It is always rewarding for our team to see how much the kids love the program!
